Built for the Mud.
Built for the North.

The Mud Brothers of the North ATV Club has been bringing Northern Michigan riders together since 2011. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing the safety and welfare of ATV and UTV recreation — and having a damn good time doing it.

We host 8 group rides per year, 2 trail maintenance cleanups, and an annual banquet. We work hand-in-hand with the Michigan DNR to maintain the Indian Gardens trail near Cross Village — and we're proud of every mile of it. We're also proud to support local veterans and the riding community that backs us.

What to Expect on a Ride

Show up ready to ride. Here's how a Mud Brothers group ride runs — and what we expect from every rider on the trail.

9:45AM
Driver Meeting

Mandatory pre-ride briefing — route, weather, signals, sweep order.

10:00AM
Wheels Roll

Group departs on time. Late arrivals catch up at the next checkpoint.

35MPH+
Trail Speed Minimum

Your machine must hold trail pace and be capable of faster speeds in open sections.

!
Core Rule
The Critical Turn Rule

At every turn, the rider behind you must see you take it. If they can't, you wait. No one rides alone. No one gets left behind.

01
Obey All Laws

Federal, state, and local. ORV regulations are the floor, not the ceiling.

02
Respect People & Property

Other riders, landowners, wildlife, and the trail itself. We're guests on every mile.

03
Ride Safe, Speak Up

Follow safety rules. Report unsafe riders to club officers — the trail is shared, the standard isn't optional.

04
Keep Trails Clean, Keep Each Other Safe

Pack it out. Watch your six. No one left behind — on the trail or after the ride.

Riders not following these rules are subject to removal from the club.
